Dry-Type Transformers

Resin-cast and non-encapsulated designs for projects where indoor conditions, ventilation and installation requirements guide the selection.

Engineered for the duty

The transformer belongs in the building plan.

The product literature includes SC / SCB resin-cast transformers and SG10 non-encapsulated insulated designs. An indoor transformer should be considered alongside room ventilation, fire strategy, acoustic requirements, access and the surrounding electrical installation.

What to consider

Details that shape the right solution.

  • Insulation optionsCompare resin-cast and non-encapsulated designs against the installation and service conditions.
  • Room integrationCoordinate enclosure requirements, airflow, cable entry and maintenance access with the building design.
  • Thermal supervisionSpecify the required temperature monitoring, alarms and cooling arrangement in the technical enquiry.

Application planning

Built around how power is used.

01

Commercial buildings

Indoor distribution where installation access, ventilation and operating conditions are defined.

02

Industrial workshops

Power close to the load, coordinated with the local electrical and environmental conditions.

03

Infrastructure facilities

Project-specific distribution for public and transport-related installations, subject to the required specification.

Your enquiry

A clearer specification. A better proposal.

Share the details you have. If a requirement is still open, include the project context so it can be reviewed.

  • Rated power, voltage ratio and frequency
  • Indoor environment, dust and humidity
  • Enclosure and ingress protection requirements
  • Ventilation, cooling and temperature monitoring
  • Noise, fire strategy and installation clearances

Useful answers

Before you specify.

What is the difference between resin-cast and non-encapsulated designs?

They use different insulation constructions. Selection should consider humidity, contamination, thermal duty, enclosure and the project specification; request a comparison for the actual installation.

Does a dry-type transformer need ventilation?

Yes. Heat must be removed from the transformer and its room. Provide the enclosure arrangement and available airflow so cooling requirements can be reviewed.

Can it be supplied with a protective enclosure?

Include the required enclosure, ingress protection, cable entry and available space in your enquiry. These details must be confirmed in the proposed design.
